I can identify with your ramblings-I, too -am a recent widow and a senior and was unprepared to spend the rest of my life alone-after 40 yrs. So I am trying out my creative side by taking beginning drawing classes with 18 yr olds-a wonderful experience! I am finding new skills that I never thought I had! Love your blog!
Hi Judy, I am glad that you found a new ‘experience’,too. The younger classmates can learn from you, they have fresh approaches to life to pique the interests in all of us. The creative process does wonders to the id. Are you starting with pencil, or what medium are you trying now?
Well, as a Senior and a ( non so much a fledgeling, with recent attempts to resurrect the skills of my past) writer and artist, I am bombarded with emails to my accounts on the world wide web, notice the snide aside cough, to increase my earnings with various ‘schemes’ as they say in Great Britain, one of which was a ‘sign up’ by a dear member of my distant family, i.e. to ‘Fanbox’. Has anyone ever been involved with this group? Since research is my forte, I went on the search engine, wow I have learned the language of the new fangled device, and tried to embrace all of the knowledge that I could about this site. Like a doctor’s handwritings, the ‘ramblings’ of the ‘wonderful opportunity afforded me with this establishment’ written therein, I am curious still about their reputation. Whereupon, going to BBB and inquiring, finding the same names touting the vast ‘adoration’ for this site and the monetary gains ‘they’ achieved.
Then bright and early this morning I ‘opened’ an email stating that I ‘owe’ an amount for the ‘boosting’ fees. Babblespeak, and re-reading the message, I come to believe that I need to give them my ssn, my bank account number, my first born- no wait that is another fairy tale, in order to claim the ‘vast’ amount of ‘booty’ awaiting my efforts to collect, sans the ‘boosting’ fees. I had found a curious site when I entered the word, dare I say it, ‘scam’ in the inquiries made. Reading that many have entered the difficulties of purging themselves from the ‘doubletalk’ given then as to why their bank statements showed ‘UNAUTHORIZED” removal of quote, unquote ‘FEES’ regarding this ‘business’.
Granted, I am a Senior and thus ‘ripe’ for the untold denizens of dastardly deeds, trying saying that out loud ten times fast, I had my hackles rise and acid erupt from the pit of my stomach. This I am – a Senior, and not someone who had just opened their eyes upon this beautiful world, I then had the overwhelming desire to burst into laughter. Humm, I do believe Shakespeare had put my feelings into words, so long ago, yet pertienent today in this worldly economic situation : ‘Oh, what fools these mortals be?’
HAH!
Perspicacious age of enlightenment, Seniors, we are molded out of much stronger stuff. Consequently, I charge those who had ‘real, actual and researchable’ experience with this site to chat. Since I had listed for my own benefit, the names of the ‘happy’ clients trying to rebuff the sad tales of those I mentioned, I beseech, do not wiggle yourselves into my view. Thus, the honest, forthwright ‘customers’ of such or those who also had ‘dealings’ with the ‘company’ and were not so ‘pleased’ let us chat.
I can’t wait for you to learn how to spell! Welcome to teh blogging world.
